Changes

This is going to be a checklist of sorts. Things I've noticed changing in Lily over the past week:

- Vocalizing. Whereas before her chatter seemed sort of nonsensical, I'm starting to hear more pronounced words: Ball, mamamama, dadadad

a, etc. She also has different tones she uses: soft, sweet coos and such for when she's snuggly; exclamations when she's excited or wants your attention; directional type orders when she's talking to the dog or her toys. It's like her tiny personality is pushing it's way out of her baby body into kid form. I can't wait to learn more about her.

- Walking. Still wouldn't call Lily a walker, but she c

an definitely take steps when she wants to. We're up to 8 or 10 steps in a row, plus various moments of standing still and balancing in between steps, which I think is a good sign. She still isn't interested in pulling herself up to a stand without holding on to anything, which I'm guessing is a requirement before full on walking.

- Meals. Three squares, plus snacks, and 4 bottles/nursing. We're on a very set schedule these days and if missy misses a meal or has to wait while we're in transit, watch out! Eek. Not a happy camper. :)

- Sleeping. I'm almost afraid to type this out for fear that it will come back and bite me, but I'm pretty sure we're on a good sleep-through-the-night kick. In the last few weeks Lily's averaged 3-4 nights of STTN and 2-3 nights of one quick wake-up. Justin and I have committed to ceasing going in when she cries, so we'll see how that works. ::eyeroll:: (I'm a pushover). :)

- Playing. We've attended a few playgroups/meetups in the last week and Lily alternates between parallel play and genuine interest in oth

er kids. It helps if those other kids have bottles or snacks that she can try to steal.

Okay, that's all I've got time for now. Grandma Suze is coming for 10 days to help celebrate Lily's birthday (one week from today) and we're so excited to see her! Time to clean the house up a bit since this will be her first visit.
