Life has changed! We sold our condo and moved out to the burbs to live with my parents for a bit while we save for a new house. We'll probably look for something in this area, so it's good to be out here and plant some roots. Lily and I have developed a nice routine. We cycle between music class, library reading circle, trips to the local park, shopping, errands, playing on the floor, the gym and cooking together. Although the cooking is really her sitting in her high chair gnawing on an apple in the mesh feeder while I prep dinner.
We've done a bit of traveling as well. First up was DC in June. Justin had a continuing ed conference, so Lily and I played tourists. It was her first flight and she did a great job, slept all the way there and back. We went to museums during the day and met up with friends in the evenings. We saw Mitch and his new wife, Lindsay & Ryan, and Joe and his wife, Faith. Lily was a great traveler and celebrated her 3 month birthday on the road.
July was a bit of craziness - we redid our kitchen in order to get it on the market. We moved in the beginning of August and hopped on the road to Colorado. We knew Lily was good in the plane, but a cross country driving trip was another story. Surprisingly, it was not bad at all! We had a great time at the Pokorny's house - visited Estes Park, the Continental Divide, hiked a few mountains and fished up a storm.
September was a nice return to normal! Lily turned 6 months and we started solids. She's now eating breakfast and dinner each day - a fruit puree in the morning, fruit slices and puffs in the afternoon and a veggie puree and grain in the evening. I've been making her food, and it's going well so far. We recently started blends and tonight she had butternut squash and corn with a touch of olive oil. She seems to like it. Then again, she's a 21 lb, 29 inch 7.5 month old, so she's not exactly underfed.
In October we flew to see Grandma Suzanne and Grandpa Kalani in San Diego. It was a wonderful trip. Justin and I were able to get away for a bit and headed to Temecula, San Diego's wine country. We went to a bunch of wineries, had a wonderful dinner out and stayed at a super cute B&B. Back in San Diego we went to the Zoo, SeaWorld, had a party for Grandpa Kalani's birthday at Gloria's, went out to yummy breakfasts, sushi dinner, In-N-Out burgers, fish tacos (yeah, we ate a ton), Lake Poway, Torry Pines for hikes and the beach, Point Loma, Julian up in the mountains for window shopping and apple pie, La Jolla to see the seals, a ferry ride around the San Diego Bay and much much more. It was a busy, fun, and somehow relaxing 8 days.

I'm going to try and be better about posting, so please call me out if I slack off!
